VN expects to step up ties with Saudi Arabian, Germany

VGP - PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Tuesday expressed his pleasure at the fine development of the relations between Viet Nam and Saudi Arabia while receiving Finance Minister Ibrahim Abudulaziz Alassaf who is also the Chairman of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).

PM Dung thanked the Government of Saudi Arabia for its fruitful investment projects in Viet Nam through SFD. He hoped that both countries would foster the bilateral ties in trade, investment and labor among others.

The Vietnamese Government would create favorable conditions for Saudi Arabian investors to do business here, PM Dung affirmed.

Minister Ibrahim Abudulaziz Alassaf briefed the host leader about the outcomes of his visit to Viet Nam, including the signing of two agreements on transport infrastructure and vocational training.

The Minister said SFD is financing projects in 74 countries wordwide and it would continue to provide capital to investment projects in Viet Nam, especially large-scale ones on infrastructure and energy.

He also hoped both sides would strengthen cooperation in other fields like petroleum and agriculture. 

On the same day, PM Dung warmly welcomed German Ambassador Jutta Frasch who has recently assumed office in Viet Nam.

The Government chief hoped that the new Ambassador would spare no effort to boost the cooperative ties between Viet Nam and Germany, especially in economics, trade, investment, education and training.

Ambassador Jutta Frasch promised to closely coordinate with Vietnamese ministries and agencies to speed up the strategic ties between the two countries./.
