PM ratifies international passenger ship terminal plan for Phu Quoc
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the construction of an international passenger ship port in Phu Quoc Island in the southern province of Kien Giang.

The PM assigned the provincial People’s Committee to coordinate with the Ministries of Transport, Finance and Planning and Investment in deciding the scale of the project and the capital needed from the State budget for the project.
The proposed port will be able to receive cruise ships transporting from 5,000-6,000 passengers.
It is predicted that Phu Quoc will welcome from 105,000 to 190,000 visitors a year via cruise ships from now to 2020, and the number could reach 350,000-550,000 in the following decade.
