PM spends a busy day meeting politicians in Hungary

VGP – As part of his visit, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on Friday had separate meetings with Hungarian President Solyom Laszlo, Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Szili Katalin, President of the Hungarian Socialist Party Ildiko Lendvai, and Leader of the main opposition party FIDESZ Viktor Orban.

Meeting with President Solyom Laszlo, PM Dũng highly valued achievements gained by Hungary during the past years and thanked the host President for his proposal of sponsoring activities to celebrate the 60 th anniversary of diplomatic establishment between Việt Nam and Hungary.President Solyom Laszlo recalled his deep impressions on the Vietnamese people and country during his visit to Việt Nam last year.

He voiced his support for expanding bilateral cooperation in such fields of economics, trade, investment, and environment, pledging to offer more scholarships for Vietnamese students.

Meeting with the Hungarian National Assembly’s Speaker Szili Katalin, PM Dũng briefed him about the results of the earlier talk with PM Gordon Bajnai and extended his gratitude to Hungary for training thousands of Vietnamese public servants.

The Vietnamese Government chief hoped that Hungary would continue creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to get increasingly deep-rooted in Hungary.

Also on the day, PM Dũng met President of the Hungarian Socialist Party Ildiko Lendvai and Leader of the Main Opposition Party FIDESZ Viktor Orban.

He hoped that the two parties would develop close ties with Việt Nam for mutual interests.

The Vietnamese leader stressed that Việt Nam always respects the 60-year friendship and multifaceted cooperation which should be consolidated in the future.

The two Hungarian politicians said that they advocated the promotion of the bilateral ties between the two nations.
