PM works with Ha Tinh and Nghe An authorities

Ha Tinh looks to faster and more sustainable growth
At the working session with Ha Tinh leaders, PM Dung tasked the locality to develop in a faster, more sustainable and efficient manner; raise economic competiveness; improve the business environment and living standards for local residents.
PM Dung hailed the unceasing efforts of the local Party, administration, and people on socio-economic development.
Especially, the central province attracted about US$20 billion of FDI and gained an annual GDP growth rate of around 20% per year.
The Government leader also noted the importance of accelerating the administrative reform, and maintaining national defence, and social order.
The Government would continue to create favorable ways for central provinces including Ha Tinh to florish in the coming time, said PM Dung .
Nghe An to be basically industrialised by 2020
Earlier, during the working session with Nghe An authorities, PM Dung gave specific directions to develop the central province of Nghe An into a basically industrialised locality by 2020.
The Government leader underlined that with Nghe An holds a strategical position as a gateway to Laos, Thailand and Cambodia and a North-South economic and cultural linkage and boasts a vast area and plentiful natural and human resources.
Nghe An achieved a GDP growth rate of 7.24% last year and is expected to attain the rate at 8-9% this year. In 2014, income per capita doubled to VND29 million (US$1,300) from 2012.
The chief Cabinet proposed the central province accelerate high value industries and labor-intensive ones; speed up agricultural restructuring; strengthen scientific and technological application to raise productivity, quality, and competitiveness of agro-products.
The PM also asked the province to accelerate administrative reform and improve the business climate while promoting trade and tourism, especially expanding export markets./.
