As of late first half, tax collection met nearly 54% of forecast, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.5%.

However, the tax sector still coped with some shortcomings including inappropriate tax policies, slow issuance of guiding documents, and weak settlement of complaints.

Addressing the meeting, PM said that administrative reform is one of the key breakthroughs to further improve  the business environment, gain higher competitiveness, better State management and more effective anti-corruption and anti-wastefulness.

He asked the sector to improve management, cut time filling for tax payment, prevent imperious behaviors among tax collectors and raise awareness and responsibilities for tax payers.

The sector was requested to resolve production and business difficulties, review administrative reform, surmount negative situations, apply IT and electronic tax payments to reduce time and harassment.

Tax regulations should be amended, supplemented and perfected in order to pay favorable ways for citizens and enterprises, said PM Dung./.
