The project is sponsored by the United States Department of Labor via the International Labor Organization (ILO).
It provides technical assistance for the examination and revision of laws and policies related to child labor in conformity with Viet Nam’s international commitments, thus enhancing the capacity of Vietnamese agencies and related organisations in addressing child labor issues.
In addition, awareness-raising campaigns will be launched while multi-layered intervention models to prevent or help children avoid the risks of falling victim of any forms of child labor will be built.
The project is implemented with a total capital of US$9.2 million, including US$8 million as non-refundable ODA capital from the US Department of Labor and the remainder as corresponding capital.
