Accordingly, the US bank will provide a US $1 billion credit loan for the implementation of the wind power development program in the Mekong Delta in the 2011-2015 period.
Việt Nam has developed 21 wind power development projects by February this year. Most of the projects are located in Bình Thuận, Ninh Thuận, Bình Định and Lâm Đồng – whose wind power capacity is estimated to be over 2,000 MW.
In a recent move, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng inked Decision 37/2011/QĐ-TTg detailing preferential mechanisms for energy development. Accordingly, projects of this kind will enjoy credit, tax payment, site clearance assistance.
