VN, Germany cement cooperation ties
VNGOP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng welcomed Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Deputy PM, FM of the Federal Republic of Germany, who is on a working visit to Việt Nam, on February 29.

He highly spoke of Việt Nam’s investment environment and the Vietnamese Government’s open policies attract foreign investors as well as great efforts in anti-corruption. The guest stated that his Government always pays attention to introducing Việt Nam to the German business circle. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng applauded Germany’s proposal to establish the Germany-Việt Nam University (GVU) and an international high-school in Việt Nam. The PM stressed that the two countries should make better use of their respective advantages in order to promote economic cooperation. This is expected to be an international-class leading university in Việt Nam. “Then, we plan to build a German high-school in Việt Nam to facilitate Vietnamese students’ accessibility to the world’s advanced knowledge,” said Deputy PM Frank-Walter Steinmeier, adding that his Government is considering to improve the scholarship program for Vietnamese students. | | | Vietnamese FMs sign Joint Declaration - Photo: VNGOP | On the occasion, the Joint Declaration on legal and judicial cooperation; Declaration on the establishment of the GVU; Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD); and document on increasing the Vietnamese Government Office’s law-building capacity were inked.
