VN, Hungary look to a comprehensive cooperation

Minister Goncz Kinga proposed some promising fields for bilateral cooperation between the two countries, including education, finance and banking, food processing, industrial wastes treatment, and tourism. She said that many Hungarian enterprises want to do investment in Việt Nam and other Southeast Asian countries.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stressed that Việt Nam is willing to be the “friendship bridge” between Hungary and ASEAN members. Việt Nam wants Hungary to grant more ODA and promote educational cooperation programs in the future.

On the same day, Deputy PM, FM Phạm Gia Khiêm had talks to Minister Goncz Kinga. The two sides agreed to give preferential conditions to Hungarian investors to Việt Nam, especially in infrastructure construction, urban planning and development, public transportation, environmental protection, and tourism. The two sides also agreed to ink a framework pact on financial cooperation to lay legal foundation for the use of Hungarian credits for Việt Nam.

In the morning of the day, Minister of Planning and Investment Võ Hồng Phúc and Minister Goncz Kinga inked a MoU on Việt Nam and Hungary’s responsibilities to implement the Agreement on development cooperation signed on July 20, 2005.
