VN, India vow to enhance cooperation

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung and his Indian counterpart, Manmohan Singh applauded the strategic partnership of the two nations and restated to strengthen cooperation in the fields of politics, economic, national defense, science and technology, culture, education and training.

The two PMs exchanged views at their talks held on December 21 in New Delhi, India.

PM Dung highly spoke of the successful organization of the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit, regarding it as a crucial milestone in the strategic partnership between India and ASEAN in general and between India and Viet Nam, in particular.

He treasured the achievements recorded by the Indian Government and people in the recent years and asserted Viet Nam’s consistent policy of consolidating its long-term relationship with India.

The Indian PM highly valued the active attendance of Viet Nam at the Summit and affirmed that Viet Nam is always one of India’s top partners.

The two sides praised the close coordination of the two countries’ agencies in organizing practical and meaningful activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam-India diplomatic ties in 2012.

They agreed to exchange high-ranking delegations and establish a Joint Trade Committee and a joint working group in education and training.

They committed to closely cooperating at international and regional forums as well as affirmed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the East Sea.

On this occasion, PM Nguyen Tan Dung invited Indian PM Manmohan Singh to pay an official visit to Viet Nam and the Indian PM accepted with pleasure.
