PM Dung asked the WEF for supporting Viet Nam’s initiative to host the WEF Mekong Conference in 2016 and asked the WEF to help promote Viet Nam’s image, encourage major economic groups to invest in the Southeast Asian nation, and join efforts in organizing the WEF Mekong Conference.

For his part, Rosler expressed the hope that Viet Nam would continue engaging in WEF activities while conveying support for the country’s initiative to hold the WEF-Mekong Conference 2016.

He also hoped that Viet Nam would consider hosting the WEF on East Asia in the future.

Meeting with Rosler the same day, Deputy PM and FM Pham Binh Minh congratulated the WEF on being recognized as an International Institution for Public-Private Cooperation by the Swiss government, hoping that the WEF, with its new status, would continue promoting public-private partnerships in global economic affairs.
