PM Nguyen Tan Dung told the voters that the entire country needs to concentrate on enhancing socio-economic development more effectively and reaching higher economic growth and more sustainable macro-economy as well as ensuring social security and welfare and national defense, independence and sovereignty.

National construction and protection are two strategic tasks, he asserted, proposing people joining hands to launch these two strategic missions.

In term of the new rural establishment, the PM confirmed that the Party and the State will give priority to guaranteeing the drive will be realized effectively and businesses will be encouraged to  pour more investment in infrastructure and production in the rural areas.

The Government will direct and supplement policies to support and create favorable conditions for fishermen to cling on their offshore catching activities, making contribution to the economic development and national sovereignty.

Regarding the national production protection, the PM suggested increasing competitiveness and the quality of products and services as well as applying advanced science and technology in production.

Referring to the East Sea issue, the PM affirmed that Viet Nam will consistently struggle with suitable measures, following international law to protect national independence and sovereignty over its seas and islands and maintaining the peaceful and sustainable environment for the national construction and development.

The PM expected that Hai Phong City will bring into full play its advantages to overcome obstacles and shortcomings for more sustainable development.
