These kinds of
activities will be carried out in the neighboring and ASEAN member countries;
in bilateral and multi-lateral forums like UNESCO, ASEAN, ASEM, EAS, and
others.
By 2020, Việt Nam plans to set up
at least five cultural centers in key regions.
The deployment of the strategy on
cultural diplomacy until 2020 will also be closely combined with the overseas
activities.
A series of programs like
Vietnamese language teaching will be designed to preserve the mother tongue and
Vietnamese cultural identities among those who live and work abroad.
In fact, cultural diplomacy has
been deployed during the past years, but with the issuance of the strategy,
cultural diplomacy is now officially considered one of the three pillars of Việt
Nam’s modern foreign policy./.
