MARD joins GEF-funded project

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has signed Decision No. 1483/QĐ-TTg dated August 26, 2011 specifying the List of supporting industry products to be prioritized for future investment.

Ministries prepare for VN Year in France

VGP - The PM has approved the Danish-funded project on promoting fine arts education at primary schools in the 2011-2015 period.

VN sets up Connectivity Coordinating Committee

VGP – The Government chief has decided to establish an ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Steering Committee, which is headed by the Minister of Planning and Investment, to speed up the realization of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC).   

PM okays Lâm Đồng development master plan

VGP – The Prime Minister has approved the overall socio-economic development plan for the Central Highlands province of Lâm Đồng to 2020 with the aim of shifting the local economic structure towards services. 

WB to finance Đà Nẵng-Quảng Ngãi highway project

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has approved the outcomes of negotiations with the World Bank for credits for a highway project to link Đà Nẵng city and Quảng Ngãi province.

More ODA to go to Hòa Lạc High-tech Park

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has agreed in principle that more ODA resources would be allocated to the improvement of infrastructure in the Hòa Lạc High-tech Park.

Mekong Delta exhibition to open next April

VGP – The southern city of Cần Thơ will host an exhibition on 10-year development achievements of the Mekong Delta Region in April, 2012.

Minimum salary to increase from October

VGP – Minimum wage for employees in local enterprises and foreign-invested companies in Việt Nam will increase between VND 1.4 million (US$ 66) and VND 2 million (US$ 95) a month from October 1, 2011, according to Government’s Decree 70/2011/NĐ-CP.
