
VN to have more new style communes by 2020
VGP – The Vietnamese Government has set the target of increasing the percentage of communes satisfying the criteria of new-style rural areas to 20% and 50% by 2015 and 2020, respectively.

VN to sign water project credit agreement with WB

Gov’t increases study-purposed loan value

PM okays extension of flu prevention agreements
VGP – The PM has agreed to extend the duration of funding agreements for the Việt Nam Avian and Human Influenza Control and Preparedness Project (VAHIP) from June 6, 2011 to December 31, 2011.

WB provides ODA for HCFC eradication in VN
VGP – The PM has approved the World Bank-financed technical assistance project to manage and eliminate the use of HCFC in Việt Nam. The project has a total non-refundable aid of US $46,400.

PM agrees road safety credit agreement extension
VGP - The Prime Minister has agreed to extend the development credit agreement within the framework of the World Bank-loaned road transport safety project to December 31, 2012.
Đồng Tháp to set up more industrial parks
VGP – Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has allowed the Mekong delta province of Đồng Tháp to expand its existing industrial parks and set up new ones.

PM approves Long Thành Int’l Airport scheme
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has approved the planning of the Long Thành International Airport in the Southern province of Đồng Nai, which was designed to cater for 100 million passengers and five million tones of cargo, annually.
