Meanwhile, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the Council.
The Council is tasked to consult the PM in researching, directing and dealing with crucial issues of water resources.
It will propose measures, policies, strategies, national target and action programs related to protection, tapping and utilization of water resources as well as prevent and overcome consequences caused by water.
