Accordingly, the province’s gross domestic product per capita is expected to reach VND27 million (US$1,270) by 2015 and VND66 million (US$3,100) by 2020.
The industry and construction sector is planned to account for 39.57% of the economy structure while services and agriculture make up 26.7% and 33.73% respectively.
The province will decrease poor households by 5-7% a year on average by 2020, equivalent to the national rate.
Dak Nong will focus on developing human resources, fundamental infrastructure and urban nuclei, and attracting investment, especially in transportation and a large urban infrastructure.
In addition, it will strive to create breakthroughs in the mineral exploitation, energy, processing, hi-tech agriculture, tourism and service sectors.
