Four radiation application institutes to be built
VGP – Việt Nam will build four institutes for radiation applications in Hà Nội, Hồ Chí Minh City, Đà Nẵng and Đà Lạt to support the expansion of atomic energy applications in the country.

This is part of a project to strengthen research capacity and deploy technical assistance for the development of nuclear power in a safe and secure manner.
Under the project, the Việt Nam Atomic Energy Institute will be developed to meet regional standards.
The Institute will operate as a research organization and an independent body in charge of inspecting technical and safety conditions and protecting the environment for nuclear power development in Việt Nam.
In 2011-2015, the Nuclear Technology Center will be constructed in line with the Intergovernmental Agreement between Việt Nam and Russia.
The center will be put into operation in the 2016-2020 period./.
