Gov’t chief hails Credit Suisse’s undertakings
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on Wednesday evening in Davos hosted a reception given to leaders of the leading global financial services group Credit Suisse, in which he praised the group’s role as the biggest arranger of international aid for Việt Nam, around US $3 billion since 2005.

It has also mobilized donations for PetroVietnam, Electricity of Việt Nam , and the Việt Nam National Shipping Lines as well as engaged in guaranteeing Việt Nam ’s issuance of international bonds. Especially, right after the meeting with PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng in Davos, Credit Suisse inked a loan agreement worth of US $200 million for a Vietnamese urban development corporation. Highly valuing the financial group’s undertakings, the Vietnamese PM pledged to create favorable conditions for it to do business in Việt Nam . For their part, leaders of Credit Suisse described Việt Nam a prioritized destination for their development cooperation and vowed to provide more financial services and call upon international investors to Việt Nam . * The same day, PM Dũng had a meeting with former US President Clinton who established the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in 2005 to turn ideas into action and to help our world move beyond the current state of globalization to a more integrated global community of shared benefits, responsibilities, and values..
