Gov’t provides relief aid before Tết
VGP - Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has asked the Ministry of Finance to allocate nearly 9,880 tons of rice from the national reserves for seven prior to Lunar New Year festival (Tết).
Under the decision, Lai Châu province will get 2,034 tons of rice in aid, Thanh Hóa province 1,060 tons, Quảng Nam province 2,000 tons, Bình Định province 2,000 tons, Kon Tum province 390 toes, Đắk Lắk province 2,000 tons and Phú Yên 395 tons.
The Government chief has asked the local authorities to distribute relief aid to the people as soon as possible.
Earlier, the PM decided to put aside 12,550 tons of rice for five other provinces namely Cao Bằng, Lào Cai, Nghệ An, Quảng Ngãi and Hà Tĩnh./.
