Gov’t provides rice to Lạng Sơn and Điện Biên
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has requested the Ministry of Finance to freely provide 3,592 tons of rice from the national reserves to support poor people in the northern provinces of Lạng Sơn and Điện Biên.
Specifically, Lạng Sơn will receive 1,210 tons of rice meanwhile Điện Biên takes the rest.
Earlier, in January 2012, the Government chief also asked the ministry to provide over 22,800 tons of rice to 13 provinces, namely: Yên Bái, Lai Châu, Kon Tum, Bình Định, Thanh Hóa, Quảng Nam, Phú Yên, Đắk Lắk, Cao Bằng, Nghệ An, Quảng Ngãi, Lào Cai and Hà Tĩnh to support the poor during the Lunar New Year festival.
