To prepare well for the meeting, Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc requested the Government Inspectorate, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Ministry of Justice to well study the case and put forth solutions to the PM.

At the same time, Chairman of Hải Phòng People’s Committee must prepare a full report as ordered by PM Dũng.

The Government also asked the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, Supreme People’s Court, Supreme People’s Procuracy, and Farmers’ Association to present their ideas at the meeting.

Earlier on January 15, 2012, PM Dũng ordered the Chairman of Hải Phòng People’s Committee to investigate the land confiscation case which caused a shootout between farmer Đoàn Văn Vươn, his family and security forces in Vinh Quang Commune, Tiên Lãng District of the northern city of Hải Phòng, and then report the results to the PM.
