Nam Định city master plan approved
VGP – The Prime Minister has approved an overall construction plan for the northern city of Nam Định by 2025.

The master plan sets a goal to convert the city into an economic, cultural, scientific and social hub of Nam Định province and the southern region of the Red Delta.
The city will cover an area of 18,445 hectares and have an estimated population of 480,000 people in 2015 and 570,000 people in 2025.
Under the master plan, the city will have a new administrative center which will be located in a land area of the weaving factory, the Trần cultural center surrounding Vị Xuyên lake and Truyền thống (Traditional) lake; and a regional-level healthcare center in Mỹ Trung new urban area.
