National forest inventory to begin in June
VGP – The national forest inventory project will be carried out across Viet Nam from June 1, 2013 to December 31, 2016, the Office of Government announced Tuesday.
The move aims to provide accurate, up-to-date information about the size, distribution, composition and conditions of the forests and woodlands for planning, protection and development of forests as well as land allocation.
It will also help establish forest management dossier and database on forests and land for forest cultivation.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is responsible for implementing this project./.
