The meeting will focus on grasping Directive No. 22/CT-TTg dated August 5, 2014 on the establishment of a socio-economic development plan in 2016-2020 and Directive No. 23/CT-TTg dated August 5, 2014 on the establishment of a mid-term public investment plan in 2016-2020.

Speaking at the event, Minister of the Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh revealed that the event is held in the context that Viet Nam needs to launch drastic changes to cope with middle-income trap and renew leadership method to step up economic restructuring to increase the national economic effectiveness and competitiveness.

Minister Vinh suggested delegates discuss and contribute realistic and specific opinions to the issues of the meeting.
