PM Dũng receives int’l guests

VGP – Receiving newly-appointed Ambassador Pisanu Chanvitan of Thailand on Wednesday in Hà Nội, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng expected that, during the diplomat’s term of office, the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and among ASEAN member-states will be further cemented and deepened.

Not only showing his pleasure at the flourishing relationship between Việt Nam and Thailand, the Vietnamese PM also highlighted the close collaboration of the two countries in building an ASEAN community of prosperity and development.

The host leader reiterated that the Government of Việt Nam will back the Thai diplomat and asked the guest to work with ministries and agencies to put into reality specific cooperative activities.

Ambassador Pisanu Chanvitan stated that, he will focus his term on enhancing transport, trade and tourism linkages between Thailand, Laos and Việt Nam while promoting Thai investors’ activities in Central Việt Nam.

On the same day, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng also hosted a reception to Russian scientists and technicians in the health sector.

PM Dũng took the occasion to thank the Government of Russia and its scientists for their assistance to Việt Nam in maintaining President Hồ Chí Minh’s corpse.

He hoped that Russia will continue helping to train Vietnamese technicians and scientists.
