The Government chief is accompanied by Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh, Minister-Chairman of the Office of Government Nguyen Van Nen, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang, Minister of Trade and Industry Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, and Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong.
COP 21, for the first time in over 20 years of UN negotiations, is expected to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.
The Vietnamese delegation’s attendance demonstrates the country’s strong commitment to coping with climate change and its wish to further expand international cooperation in this area.
During his working visit to the EU, PM Dung and the Union’s leaders will discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in such priority areas like energy, green growth, and vocational training.
PM Dung will also hold talks with Belgian PM Charles Michel to seek measures to further enhance cooperation in economy, trade, investment, transport and aviation./.
