After briefing Việt Nam's significant achievements during 20 years of renovation and major tasks to be conducted by the new Cabinet, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asserted that the Vietnamese and Japanese Governments should try to build up a really long-term strategic partnership for benefits of each country as well as stability and prosperity in the region and the world.
The two sides should focus on promoting economic, trade, investment, cultural, scientific, technological, educational ties to a higher level corresponding to their bilateral friendship. The PM also asked Japan to increase its direct investments in building infrastructure in Việt Nam, especially highways, express railways and hi-tech parks.
PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stated that most of Japanese projects in Việt Nam have been successfully carried out. The Vietnamese Government and local authorities always offer favorable conditions and environment for Japanese businesses, the Government chief affirmed.
Kyodo President Satochi Ishi Kawa pledged to deepen cooperation with the Việt Nam News Agency as the PM's desire.

In the same morning, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng received the leaving German Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Việt Nam Christian-Ludwig Weber-Lortsch.
The PM highly lauded the contributions made by the Ambassador and the German Embassy in consolidating the relationship between the two countries, increasing two-way trade turnover, and attracting German businesses to Việt Nam. He expressed his hope that Germany will continue to raise ODA to Việt Nam, help to build a metro network in Hồ Chí Minh City and a German university in Việt Nam.
Ambassador Christian-Ludwig Weber-Lortsch confirmed that he will be a good friend of Việt Nam forever and pledged to convey PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng's messages to the German Government./.
