PM decides to assist poor students
VNGOP – On September 4, PM Nguyen Tấn Dũng issued Instruction 21/2007/CT-TTg on preferential loans to all disadvantaged pupils and students succeeding in their entry exams into universities, colleges, high schools and vocational training facilities throughout the country.
 | | Poor excellent pupils granted with scholarships – Illustration photo | The PM ordered the relevant agencies to ensure that none of these students has to drop schools for failure to pay tuition fees and other subsistence expenses (accommodation, travel, textbooks). The Ministries of Finance; Education and Training; Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Bank for Social Policies are assigned to work out the scheme on loan lines, conditions and methods, and the post-graduation payment methods. The scheme must be publicized in September 2007. The PM’s Instruction aims to facilitate all disadvantaged students to study and improve themselves to become helpful citizens for society and contribute to the national construction and development.
