PM gives nod to VN-US Trade and Investment Framework Agreement
VNGOP – Upon the proposal of the Ministry of Trade, the PM on July 31 agreed in principle the contents of the Việt Nam-US Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) and allowed its implementation.
| At present, the PM entrusted the Minister, Head of the Government Office to chair Việt Nam's TIFA Council in order to further boost the bilateral cooperation. A TIFA Secretariat of Việt Nam will be founded in which the members are department-level officials from the Government Office, ministries of Planning and Investment, Trade, Justice, Science and Technology, Culture and Information, Health, Agriculture and Rural Development, Finance, Foreign Affairs, and the State Bank of Việt Nam.
