PM okays investments in Hòa Tâm IP and Naphtha Cracking Complex

VNGOP – The PM on August 8 accepted the plan to invest in the infrastructure construction project for the 1,300-ha Hòa Tâm Petro-cehmical Industrial Park, Phú Yên Province, and the project on Naphtha Cracking Complex invested by the Singaporean SP Chemicals Ltd.

The PM agreed to include the Naphtha Cracking Complex project in the list of Việt Nam Oil and Gas Development Planning Schemes during 2006-2015 and Orientations to 2025. The complex using the imported or domestic naphth is expected to reach a capacity of 800,000 tons of etylen per year.

The Government chief approved the addition to the overall planning scheme of Vietnamese seaport system a specialized port at Bãi Gốc, Hòa Tâm Commune, Đông Hòa District, Phú Yên Province, which can receive 250,000 DWT vessels to serve the Hòa Tâm Petro-chemical IP.

The Phú Yên Province People's Committee was assigned to instruct investors in darfting the project profiles and completing all investment procedures under current stipulations.
