The Government chief said that Viet Nam established strategic partnership with 13 countries, including Thailand.
Viet Nam also set up trade ties with more than 200 countries and territories with the estimated trade volume of US$350 billion in 2015 compared to US$300 billion last year, PM Dung added.
The Vietnamese Government is taking a series of measures to improve the national business environment and competitiveness, especially administrative reform in such fields like tax, customs, social insurance, construction licenses, electricity access among others.
Viet Nam attaches importance to and highly values Thailand’s projects and will create favorable conditions for foreign investors, including those from Thailand, affirmed PM Dung.
Thailand is the 10th biggest foreign investor in Viet Nam with 374 projects worth nearly US$6.69 billion and the 5th biggest trade partner with the two-way volume reaching US$4.4 billion in the first five months this year.
During Joint Cabinet Meeting held on the same day, both countries agreed to lift up the two-way trade value to US$20 billion by 2020./.
