PM looks for greater contributions from Japanese parliamentarians to bilateral ties
VGP- Receiving Mr. Kazuo Aichi, member of the Japanese House of Representatives on July 17, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highlighted Việt Nam’s consistent policy of boosting the comprehensive cooperation and friendship with Japan towards a sustainable and long-lasting partnership for mutual benefits.
| The Government chief praised the establishment of the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) initiated in June 2008 by Mr. Kazuo Aichi and other members in the Japan-Việt Nam Parliamentarians’ Friendship Union (JVPFU), maintaining that the birth of ERIA will accelerate the bilateral economic ties as well as relations with other ASEAN members. He also sought support from the Japanese politicians for the realization of three major Japan-backed projects, namely the North-South Express Railway, the North-South Highway and the Hòa Lạc Hi-tech Park. Additionally, the guests were expected to stimulate the negotiations for the Agreements on Trade Partnership and Economic Partnership between the two countries. As President and General Secretary of JVPFU, Mr. Kazuo Aichi pledged to do his utmost to put the host’s suggestion into reality and better the relationship between Việt Nam and Japan. By Kim Anh |
