In the morning of September 28 (local time), PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng paid a working visit to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to discuss on the cooperation to promote the Vietnamese financial market. Here, PM Dũng witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NYSE and the Hà Nội Stock Exchange and rang the bell to start the transaction session of the day.

For the past four days, apart from the meetings with leaders of some countries, the Vietnamese PM also worked with the Việt Nam-US Senior Consulting Council to improve Việt Nam's competitiveness. He gave cordial receptions to leaders from many American enterprises operating in finance, banking, electricity, gas and oil, and shipping industry who want to do long-term investments in Việt Nam. They included such giants as Bantry Bay Ventures - Asia LLC, Sem Group, AIG, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, City Group.
In the meetings with the US business circle, PM Dũng emphasized the Vietnamese Government's consistent policy to create best conditions for foreign investors who are considered as an indispensable part of the Vietnamese economy to do business in Việt Nam. The PM hoped that the US would become the first investor in Việt Nam soon.
At 11h30 AM (New York Time), PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng witnessed the signing of seven cooperation agreements between Vietnamese and American enterprises.

1. The agreement on comprehensive cooperation between Citigroup and the Việt Nam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) in purchasing and building ships, developing ports and ship-repairing factories;
2. An MoU between Citigroup and the Việt Nam Coal and Mineral Group (Vinacomin) on funding the Lâm Đồng Bauxite Complex, Đăk Nông Aluminum Factory, and the Mạo Khê Power Plant;
3. A project between Vinalines and SSA Marine to increase investment capital in Cái Lân Port (Quảng Ninh) and Cái Mép Port (Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu);
4. An agreement between Vinalines and Credit Suisse Bank;
5. An MoU between Vinacomin and Bantry Bay Ventures-Asia, LLC to develop the coal depot in the Red River Delta;
6. An MoU between the Việt Nam Motor Industry Corporation and Cummins on founding a motor manufacturing company in Việt Nam;
7. An agreement between Đức Long Group (Gia Lai) and Bantry Bay Ventures on developing hydraulic power, real estate, rubber processing, mining and production of furniture for export.

On the sideline of the 62nd UN General Assembly in New York, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng attended the opening ceremony of the annual meeting of the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Global Initiative, received leaders of the Harvard University, and met representatives of the 250,000 community of overseas Vietnamese in Canada.
In the evening of the day (local time), PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng wrapped up his tour to the UN and left New York for the official visit to the French Republic from September 30 to October 3 at the invitation of French counterpart Francois Fillon./.
