PM Dũng and Lao leaders discussed and agreed on some issues relating to the upcoming GMS Summit. The guests all attached importance to the cooperation with Việt Nam and considered it the strategic relationship for Laos. PM Dũng and his Lao counterpart Bouasone Bouphavanh witnessed the signing of some economic cooperation agreements between the two countries.

In their meeting, PM Dũng and Cambodian PM Hun Sen agreed to speed up Việt Nam’s projects in Cambodia and deepen the bilateral cooperation in gas and oil, electricity, mining, planing of industrial crops and producing building materials in Cambodia.
Talking of the cooperation within GMS, the two leaders pledged to closely work together and with other countries to deal with some issues, including the exploitation of the Mekong River, so as to ensure interests of all countries concenred and cause no negative impacts on the environment and on lowr-section countries.

On the same day, PM Dũng had a meeting with ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda who confirmed that ADB is ready to support Việt Nam’s projects on infrastructure and help the country create more favorable environment for investors.
On the sideline of the GMS Summit, the PMs of Việt Nam, Laos, China, Cambodia, Thailand Myanmar and the ADB President met typical youths from GMS countries and attended the GMS Business and Investment Dialogue.
