PM meets with diplomatic corps on National Day

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung and his spouse on August 30 in Ha Noi chaired the National Day Banquet with Ambassadors, Chargés d’Affaires and Chief Representatives of International Organizations.

The event also drew the attendance of Deputy PMs Nguyen Thien Nhan, Hoang Trung Hai, Vu Van Ninh, and ministerial leaders.

On behalf the Party, State and people of Viet Nam, PM Dung thanked the enormous support and valuable cooperation from Governments, people, international organizations and friends across the world.  

The Vietnamese Government said Viet Nam has spared no effort to surmount challenges to accelerate the economic restructuring, maintain macro-economy, maintain growth rate, ensure social welfare and socio-political stability.

He underlined that under the cooperation frameworks of the UN, Non-Aligned Movement and other multilateral arrangements, Viet Nam always makes every effort together with other countries and international organizations to strengthen cooperation, build and enhance strategic trust for conflict prevention and settlement of disagreements for the maintenance of peace, and an enabling environment for the people all over the world, especially those in needy regions.

Viet Nam hopes to cement and deepen the relations with all countries, regional and international organizations, the host leader said.

“With sincere friendship, strategic trust, constructive spirit and respect for each other’s interest, we will together overcome all difficulties and challenges for a world of peace, stability and prosperous development”, said PM Dung.

Venezuelan Ambassador Jorge Rondon Uzcategui, the acting dean of the diplomatic corps conveyed the most sincere and warmest congratulations to the People, Government and Communist Party of Viet Nam on the event. 

According to the Ambassador, Viet Nam reached an enviable GDP increase, estimated at 5.03 %, achieving a positive deficit in its trade balance, controlling the inflation rate and progress in the fulfilling of the Millennium Development Goals.

“We do our best wishes in order that Viet Nam continues strengthening its economic and social development to further advance its goals of becoming an industrialized and prosperous country by 2020,” said the diplomat. 

He said that we ratify our desires to continue consolidating friendship and cooperation with Viet Nam, because we are sure that they will benefit us all and will be a huge contribution to the development and peace in the Asian region and in the world, in general../.
