PM ratifies Quảng Trị’s overall development scheme
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has approved an overall socio-economic development plan towards 2020 of the central province of Quảng Trị.

The plan aims to turn Quảng Trị Province into one of central hubs for exchanges and cooperation with other localities and countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region, to make it a gateway of the East-West Corridor to the East Sea.
Accordingly, the province will have to strive to reach a GDP annual growth rate of 12-13% in the 2011-2020 period and increase income per capital by two times in 2015.
The plan selects tourism as a strong economic spearhead for local development and defines to finalize modern infrastructure construction by 2020./.
