PM receives Chinese and Singaporean guests

VNGOP - PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng separately received on April 3 the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region delegation led by Secretary of the Region’s Party Committee Guo Shengkun, and Singapore’s chief of defense force Desmond Kuek.

Mr. Guo Shengkun informed PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng that the comprehensive cooperation between Guangxi and Việt Nam's localities is going on well.

The two-way trade turnover between Việt Nam and Guangxi is increasing sharply annually, accounting for nearly 16% of the total figure between the two countries. Currently, 17 universities and colleges in Guangxi deliver Vietnamese language course, and over 2,300 Vietnamese students are studying in Guangxi.

Mr. Guo Shengkun suggested the two sides should foster the construction of transport network, setting up a panel to work on the project of Pan-Tonkin Gulf, and building more trade and economic zones along the border.

PM Dũng stressed that the Vietnamese Government always supports and grants favorable conditions to enterprises and localities of the two countries to enhance cooperation in all fields.

On the same day, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng also received Singapore's Chief of Defense Force Desmond Kuek who is on a working visit to Vietnam. The PM spoke highly of foreign language training courses and rescue practice organized by the two defense forces. He was convinced that the close cooperation in this field would significantly contribute to the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
