Appraising the achievements in the second foreign ministry level consultation chaired by the two Deputy PMs on November 3, the PM highlighted the special, traditional and comprehensive relations between the two nations.

He proposed the two sides closely coordinate in preparing for the meeting of the two nations’ Political Bureaus in the future. After the meeting, a joint meeting between the two Governments will also be organized to realize guidelines reached by the two Political Bureaus.

The two nations continue to give priority to enhancing cooperation in economics, trade and investment, which are regarded as crucial pillars in the bilateral cooperative relations, he suggested.

The Vietnamese Government facilitates Viet Nam’s businesses to expand investment and operation in Laos as well as encourages and welcomes Lao businesses to promote trade and investment in Viet Nam, he confirmed.

He urged the two sides to work closely to contribute to the success of the 27th ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Malaysia, especially joining with other nations in ASEAN to establish a united and prosperous ASEAN Community.

Viet Nam always advocates Laos to take office as the Chair of ASEAN in 2016, asserted PM Dung.

The Lao Deputy PM affirmed that Laos will do its utmost to enhance the traditional and comprehensive bilateral relations with Viet Nam, expecting to receive Viet Nam’s cooperation and experience in its national establishment and development.

Laos will work together with Viet Nam in tackling difficulties and obstacles arising in the cooperative process, especially in such areas as economics, trade and investment, he noted.
