PM visits Melbourne
VGP - In the last day in his official visit to Australia, October 14, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and his entourage dropped in Melbourne, the capital city of the state of Victoria, where he met leaders of the state, Governor David de Kretser and Premier John Brumby.
| | | PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng welcomes Victoria Governor David de Kretser - Photo: VGP | In the meeting with the leaders of Victoria, the PM stated that Victoria and Việt Nam’s localities could enhance their cooperation in education, trade, investment, tourism, cultural exchange, financial services, telecommunication, agriculture, husbandry, food processing, petroleum, energy and labor. The Vietnamese Government always places importance on and wants to cement and deepen relations with Australia in general and Victoria in particular, said PM Dũng. He asked Victoria’s government to help the Vietnamese community (about 88,000 people) make greater contributions to the state, functioning as the friendly bridge between Việt Nam and Australia.
