The Committee will be led by Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai.

Members of the Committee include Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh, Minister-Chairman of Office of Government Vu Duc Dam, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Minister of Trade and Industry Vu Huy Hoang, Finance Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, Transport Minister Dinh La Thang, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan.

Vietnam will also invite Japanese Deputy Minister of Economics, Industry and Trade Hideichi Okada and Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yasuaki Tanizaki to be the advisers to the Committee.

The Committee is responsible for assisting the PM in handling tasks relevant to the development of industrial sectors supported by Japan.

It will coordinate with Japanese side to design a key industries development strategy and report it to the PM for consideration.
