PM Dung said he considered the President’s visit as a significant event in the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship Year and a demonstration of the close relationship between the two nations.

The Government chief highly spoke of Laos’ socio-economic development achievements, especially the accession to the World Trade Organization and successful organization of the 9^th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit. 

The Vietnamese Government will closely work with the Lao Government to realize effectively the signed agreements and make the relations deeper and more effective, confirmed the PM.

The Lao President highly valued the efforts of the Vietnamese Government in beefing up effectively the bilateral cooperation, especially in economics, trade, investment, education and training.

Laos will do its utmost to strengthen the cooperative relations for the sake of the two people, he added. He hoped that Viet Nam will share experiences in socio-economic development and poverty reduction./.
