VN, Mozambique agree to expand multifaceted cooperation

VGP - Việt Nam is ready to cooperate and share experience with Mozambique in economic development, infrastructure upgradation, education, healthcare, and especially in agriculture and poverty reduction, stated the Vietnamese PM.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng made the statement when holding talks with his Mozambican counterpart, Mr. Aires Bonifacio Baptista Ali, on September 3 in Hà Nội.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng affirmed that Việt Nam always attaches importance to reinforcing and developing relations with traditional friends in Africa, including Mozambique . He congratulated Mozambique ’s achievements in poverty reduction, agricultural development, food security, and economic development.

Mozambican PM Aires Bonifacio Ali highly appreciated cooperative programs and projects between the two countries, especially those in investment, trade, agriculture, healthcare, and education. He said Mozambique wants to bring both bilateral economic ties and political relations to new heights.

During the talks, the two leaders agreed to instruct ministries and sectors of the two countries to strengthen and expand cooperation in focal and potential fields , and held meetings of the inter-governmental committee to review cooperation results and put forth strategies in the future.

After the talks, the two PMs witnessed the signing ceremony of an agreement on double tax avoidance and anti-trade fraud of the Ministries of Finance of the two countries.
