Viet Nam attaches importance to the bilateral cooperation with Peru in all areas, making the relationship more effectively, the PM asserted.

He proposed the two sides ink an agreement on establishing the Inter-Governmental Cooperative Committee as well as complete agreements to create legal frameworks for bilateral cooperation.

PM Dung suggested Peru soon recognize Viet Nam's market economy and actively cooperate in negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement.

He lauded Peru’s opening of its Embassy in Viet Nam after the 21st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties, revealing that Viet Nam will open its Embassy in Peru.

Currently, Viet Nam has invested in projects on telecommunications, oil and gas in Peru. The two-way trade turnover reached US$300 million in 2014.

Peru expects to boost the cooperative relations with Viet Nam in all fields, said Ambassador Carlos Berninzon, adding that Peru welcomes all Vietnamese large corporations to seek cooperation and take part in an international fair on food and foodstuff in Peru next August.

He proposed the two sides closely cooperate to successfully organize the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in 2016 and 2017 in Peru and Viet Nam, respectively.
