VN to host cooperative meeting with WB
VGP – The Prime Minister has allowed the State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV) to play the host of a Meeting on Cooperative Relationship between Việt Nam and the World Bank (WB).

The SBV will work with related agencies to prepare for the meeting.
The ties between Việt Nam and the WB have been productive in recent years.
The WB has made positive contributions to the renovation cause, economic reform, and especially poverty reduction in Việt Nam.
As of late July, the WB had funded 107 projects and programs with total registered capital of around US $11.8 billion and disbursed over US $8.2 billion.
The WB has mainly got involved in such areas like agriculture, irrigation, energy, urban and rural infrastructure, transport, healthcare, education, finance and banking.
The financial institution has also directly provided technical assistance for Việt Nam.
The meeting is scheduled for November 3-4./.
