VN to partake in UNCAC Conference
VGP – A Vietnamese delegation led by a Deputy Government Inspector General will participate in the 4th Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) in Marrakech, Morocco from October 24-28.
Việt Nam ratified the UNCAC on June 30, 2009. The UNCAC covers five main areas: prevention, criminalization and law enforcement measures, international cooperation, asset recovery, and technical assistance and information.
The convention was designed to promote and strengthen measures to prevent and combat corruption more efficiently and effectively; promote, facilitate and support international cooperation and technical assistance in the prevention of and fight against corruption; and promote integrity, accountability and proper management of public affairs and public property.
