Deputy Minister of MARD Diep Kinh Tan was the former chairman of the subcommittee.

The PM has assigned the MARD to host and cooperate with relevant agencies to organize the third session of the subcommittee in April 2014 in Ha Noi.

Viet Nam and Mozambique established diplomatic relations on June 25, 1975.

The second session of the subcommittee was held in September 2011 in Maputo, Mozambique. At this session, the two sides reviewed their agreements on diplomacy, economics, trade, investment, agriculture, aquaculture, science-technology, education and training, security, defence, banking, and local exchange.
