WB always ready to assist VN
VNGOP – In a meeting with PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on May 7, WB President in Việt Nam Ajay Chhiber reiterated that the organization is willing to back Việt Nam in fulfilling its programs on hunger eradication and poverty reduction and improving infrastructure in order to accelerate the socio-economic development in Việt Nam.
| Mr. Ajay Chhiber remarked that the PM’s speech at the 3 rd NA sitting session directly recognized unsolved problems and challenges currently faced by Việt Nam. He also agreed with the Government’s drastic measures to curb inflation (top priority), stabilize the macro-economy, and ensure social security and sustainable growth. "In the time to come, WB will further support Việt Nam to implement some projects on four international-level universities and other programs on infrastructure, transport and energies", stressed Mr. Ajay Chhiber. Hailing opinions voiced by the guest, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng was convinced that Việt Nam will successfully fulfill its top priorities in order to facilitate the development in 2009-2010 and the following years. The Government leader hoped that WB always stands by Việt Nam to realize development programs. He affirmed that Việt Nam will spare no effort to make its cooperation projects with WB fruitful.
