PM requests absolute safety for Olympic torch procession
VNGOP - PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, in the morning of April 20, chaired a meeting on organizing the Olympic torch relay and other national celebrations in late April.
|  | | PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng: The Olympic torch relay must be absolutely safe - Photo: VNGOP | At the meeting, leaders of ministries, sectors and the Hồ Chí Minh City People’s Committee presented detailed plans for the Beijing Olympic torch procession in Hồ Chí Minh City and the celebrations of the Victory Day and the International Labor Day scheduled on April 29, 30 and May 1 respectively. The PM emphasized that the Olympic torch relay must be successfully held without any unexpected accidents. He asked the HCMC People’s Committee to cooperate with relevant ministries and sectors to launch the event solemnly and safely, so as to show Việt Nam’s love for sport and peace and the special friendship between Việt Nam and China.
