In the plan, Yen Bai Province aims to achieve a GDP growth rate of 13.5% in the phase from 2011-2015 and 14% in the phase from 2016-2020.
Income per capita is expected to reach more than VND 25 million by 2015 and VND 59 million by 2020. Export value will be US $100 million by 2015 and US $300 million by 2020.
Each year, the province will create jobs for 18,000 people and reduce the number of poor households by 4 percent.
Regarding industry, the province strives to increase industrial production growth rate to 21% in the phase from 2011-2015 and 16.7% in the phase from 2016-2020.
